ChipMonk's Favorite Keto-Friendly Summer Cocktails (2021)
Summer 2021 is just around the corner, and after a year like this I think we have all earned bit of rest and relaxation. That’s why the ChipMonks are back with 4 easy and delicious keto-friendly cocktail recipes to help us unwind and celebrate the summertime in style. If you’re feeling thirsty and over 21, bust out that cocktail shaker because it’s time for drinks!
1. Ranch Water
Ranch Water is a recent discovery for me, but now it's one of my new all-time favorite cocktails. Only 3 ingredients and no added sugar, this refreshing summer cocktail is perfect fix for tequila lovers everywhere. Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 1.5oz Tequila
- 1.5oz Lime Juice
- 6oz Sparkling Water (Topo Chico recommended for best results!)
- Ice
Just pour over ice and gently mix for a surprisingly delicious and extremely refreshing cocktail with only ~100 calories and <1g carbs.
2. The ChipMonk Mule
If you’re a fan of the sweet, spicy taste of ginger beer, than you probably already love the classic Moscow Mule, but did you know with a few simple substitutions you can turn this classic drink into a delicious keto-approved cocktail:
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 0.5oz Lime Juice
- 4oz Diet Ginger Beer (or Diet Ginger Ale in a pinch)
- 1 lime wedge
Just pour over ice (a copper mug is recommended for that classic Mule feel), gently mix, and serve with a wedge of lime for the perfect Keto ChipMonk Mule, with less than 100 calories and 1g carbs.
3. Cranberry Mojito
Nothing quenches a summertime thirst quite like a mojito, but if you’re practicing keto a traditional mojito has way too much sugar and carbs for you to stick to your health goals. But don’t worry, the ChipMonks have you covered with this totally keto-approved Cranberry Mojito Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lime cut in quarters (plus extra for garnish!)
- 5-7 mint leaves
- 1 tbsp AlluMonk, or your preferred dissolvable keto sweetener
- 2.5oz diet cranberry juice
- 2oz rum or vodka
- Ice
- 3 oz tonic water
This recipe takes a little more work than the first two, but it’s still super easy and totally worth the effort. Just place lime wedges and mint at the bottom of a glass, add your sweetener, and crush them together. Then add in your rum or vodka plus cranberry juice, fill the glass with ice, and top it off with your tonic water. Be sure to give it a good stir and garnish with extra lime wedges and mint leaves for extra deliciousness. Only 100-150 calories and less than 1g carbs per drink!
4. Gin Fizz
Ingredients:
- Thin sliced cucumbers
- 1.5 oz lime juice
- 2oz gin
- 8oz sparkling water
- Idea
- Optional - AlluMonk or your preferred dissolvable keto sweetener
Just place a few ice cubes into your favorite fancy glass, add gin, lime juice, cucumber slices and top off with sparkling water. You can also add in your preferred low carb sweetener, but you probably won’t miss it. With only 80 calories and 1.5g net carbs, this Gin Fizz is the perfect keto cocktail for gin lovers everywhere.
