Potential benefits of doing a keto diet, and granted I am not a health care professional so please consult your doctor before making any major lifestyle changes, but it will help manage your blood sugar, will lower your cravings within the sugar and carb department, it'll help you lose weight, it will help you lower a certain aspect of your health like maybe your blood pressure and cholesterol. Ultimately, the keto diet is just another way to eat food. I do a low-carb diet as my daily thing because I have type 2 diabetes and it helps me maintain my blood sugar, helps me keep my carbs down, and at the same time it helps me keep my energy up.
